How to know a great series
I like to think I’m a
fair person so here is a disclaimer; this article will break your heart but
you’ll thank me at the end. Additionally, this is not a professional expose
like the last work so sit back and enjoy the show.
I’ve always wanted to
slam La Casa De Papel alias Money Heist but it’s been hard. It is practically
impossible to dissect a series that is loved the world over even when the
actors are speaking a foreign language. I had almost given up until I found a
series with equal appeal and a similar story line; Prison Break. Seeing the
show again brought back memories and I just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to
pit both shows against each other to see how they measured up.
After careful analysis
(lots of episode watching into the early hours of the morning), these were the
results;
· Better story-line: Prison Break
I’m a sucker for suspense in movies but money heist took too long to let us catch on. Sure, a lot happens that gets your blood pumping but the question of “why” they’re doing isn’t answered till much later. Prison Break on the other hand has all its events and actions traceable to one clear objective; Save Lincoln Burrows.
· Gender Blend: Money Heist
Might just be the difference in timeline but it’s always a good thing to have a major female characters. Asides adding a different look at things, there’s always a plus side to having a beautiful woman hold a rifle and take charge of a hostile situation (Thank you, Nairobi)·
Annoying
Character: Prison Break
I know most of you won’t agree but it’s the truth. If it was all about being offensive and having bad vibes, I’d love to kill Arturo as much as you but he’s an angel compared to Theodore Bagwell alias “T-Bag”. His negative contribution to the entire escape plan is his lightest offence. Shall we talk about the murder of the doctor who stitched back his severed hand? Perhaps the killing of an innocent mexican lady just because she could speak English and he didn’t want the police to track him down? I’d pick a manipulative coward over that any day.
Right now, it seems Money
Heist is behind but I’m sure the upcoming season finale has a lot to offer, don’t you think?

T-Bag is just so..., God Jesus help here.
